Bubaque Museum
To the left side, just outside the port, is a street where you will find the Bubaque museum “Padre Biasutti”.
Since its opening in 2009, the Bubaque Museum has exhibited to the public various pieces about the culture and daily life of the Bijagós and African art. These are items that represent the union between art and the sacred.
In this museum, you can find pieces such as masks used in dance rituals and other types of adornments, which were collected over the years by Father Luigi Scantamburlo.
