Cufada Lagoons Natural Park
Created with the main objective of conservation and maintenance of ecosystems and animals threatened with extinction and with a total extension of about 89,000 ha (890 km2), the Natural Park of Cufada Lagoons is in the located south of Guinea-Bissau, in the administrative region of Quinará.
The park also has a great biodiversity of species such as fauna, avifauna and flora. There, you can find enough animals, such as: a diversity of monkeys, bush pigs, hippos, manatees, crocodiles, etc.
There, you can also find a wealth of native birds (originating from that region) and also migratory birds such as almabiafadas, flamingos, etc.
The Cufada Lagoons Natural Park has the largest freshwater lagoon in the whole country, being composed of the lakes of Cufada, Bedasee and Biorna and being one of the most important survival tools in the area.
